Tamar Gail’s Interview With Voyage Mia Magazine

Meet Trailblazer Tamar Gail

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamar Gail.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
At age 19, I began my career in bodywork which eventually led to me working in Indiana, Hawaii, Miami, New Zealand, and France. Although the story really begins much later. As with many healers, my practice truly began with my own healing. One day, I woke up and realized that I didn’t love myself enough and that most of the difficulties I had faced had come from this lack of self-love, so I immediately set out to change that. I delved into everything that I could get my hands on and over the years it took me on a journey of studying shamanic healing, Sacred Female Yoga, Sound Healing, and many other modalities. The journey took me all the way back to healing my birth story. A huge revelation! All of us carry wounds from our childhood. Things that we may have forgotten or things that we look back on which feel insignificant but actually hold an important key to why we react to life the way we do as adults.

This journey of self-healing – body, mind, and soul – took me on a wild ride. A ride of truly reconnecting with myself, my passions, my body and through that I was able to connect with something so much greater – LOVE. I call it Untaming. Untaming ourselves by breaking down the old systems that we have been taught to live by. Instead of succumbing to other’s view of how we should be, by trying to fit inside of the box in order to be accepted, we align with our personal truth and nature. This allows us to fully stand in our power loving all that we are, accessing a new way of being in the world.

I was sharing with someone the other day that there is always more to uncover within, like peeling back layers from an onion. The shedding of the outer layers make you cry but with each layer, life gets sweeter. For me, I see it as a process of unbecoming what I am not. We are already ‘whole’, it is a process of waking up and remembering the beauty that we are and polishing off that diamond that is within. This is the journey that led me here, to my passion – helping women get the breakthroughs that they need to live their highest potential. Even as a healer and coach, I still spend time doing my own work, I practice what I teach and work to stay in alignment with my own truth. And I listen to my heart.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Support and delegation for me are key components to being an entrepreneur.

I have to say that I have always been the creative type and was not business oriented so everything that I do now I have had to learn the hard way, but it has been well worth it. When I started out, I had no idea about marketing, promoting, which computer programs to use… you get the picture. I knew my work, the creative part of it, so to have to learn the other side of actually building a business was a challenge. I almost burned out a couple of years ago by trying to do everything myself. I can’t say that I am the best but I can say that I am happy that I have learned enough where I can get things done if I need to in a pinch. I am now at a place where I can delegate some of the backend work to someone else and luckily, more and more, there are online freelance services like Fiverr that do work at a really reasonable rate. My advice to young women, or any woman, beginning their journey is to delegate when possible. Especially, if you are a creative type like me. Learning how to do the work yourself is wonderful and empowering but you will be able to get more work done and offer more to the world if you can delegate or trade for work that you aren’t particularly good at. Stick to what you love. I had business coaches tell me that many times and it took me to the brink of burnout to really follow through with it. Use your time and energy wisely, you can find ways to do that. Think outside the box.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Tamar Gail – what should we know?
My mission is to help women get the breakthroughs they need to live their highest potential. To support women in being true to themselves, reconnecting the fragmented pieces and aspects of ‘self’ so that they can find and use their own inner power and voice. What I offer are tools for any woman ready to awaken to all that she is and when she awakens to this truth everything else in life falls into place.

I believe that what set me apart from others is that I have been there. I believe that I have had to experience it all in order to deeply understand everyone that I have the opportunity to work with – with compassion. I have done and still do the work on myself on a consistent basis and also that I love holding space for women to reach their highest potential And I guide by example.

Our true state of being is bliss, of oneness, of being connected to Spirit and to the earth. We are naturally wild creatures and we have a natural ability to receive guidance in our daily lives… we have just been taught differently. We have been taught that we have to go outside of ourselves to connect with Spirit, that it is separate from us. But this is far from true. If you can just go within, connect with your own body, to your own voice, your own truth… then you might just find a whole other world that feels truer and more in alignment than what you are living now.

I am here to take you there, to prepare you, to guide you in raising your inner fire, your vitality. My path is to help guide you to opening up so that you learn to listen to your own intuition and can stand in your own sovereignty, connected to the guidance of your own higher self and of Spirit. A guide here to teach you that you already have it within yourself. That you have had it all along. You just have to awaken and remember who you are and I’m here to hold space for you through this process.

I offer an opportunity to awaken and integrate the gifts and powers that you already embody. It is a process of unraveling the beauty and wisdom already within you. Of melting away all that you are not, all that you have been ‘taught’ to be.

I offer a 6-month online program called THE AWAKENED WOMAN, created to get you to where you want to be in order to experience this new pathway and expression of your truth. Believe me, when we allow ourselves to open and know our own inner fire then we become like the flame that attracts the moth, or the honey that attracts the bee. Your life will become magical. Your creativity will flourish. You will become LOVE. It is a guide map to finding yourself and to remember that every direction brings you back home to the feeling of truth, love and of being in your body, taking you into a deeper physical experience of trusting yourself.

I also host workshops, and international retreats and have one coming up August 26 – 31 in Costa Rica. It is a women’s yoga retreat, called Mystic Moon Woman. The Costa Rican jungle and beaches offer a living imprint of a powerfully feminine way of being and thriving in the modern world and allow us the perfect place to open up to the magic that we hold within, to the rising feminine work of ceremony and ritual. This time together is for creating, reclaiming and rewriting ritual by and for women and this time is NOW. Our feminine magic is needed in the world right now.

Here locally I offer private healing sessions and yoga sessions. My yoga is called Sundari Yoga, based on my training in Sacred Female Yoga. It is a yoga created for a woman’s body that compliments and supports the complexity of emotions and experiences and also the anatomy and physiology of our female bodies. Sundari Yoga introduces women to the strength, power, and awakening that lies within rebuilding and deepening the relationship with their sensuality and femininity. Through sensual movement and breath-work, women explore their bodies, practice moving with intention and unleash their sensual and feminine energy. I offer this yoga in all of my retreats as well.

You can also listen in on my new podcast series called ‘The Art Of Love.’ You can find that on my Youtube channel, Tamar Gail TV and soon, I hope to have it running on Spotify and iTunes. The Art Of Love series was created to guide you into deeper, more expansive love, freedom, and pleasure. A deep inner journey of self-discovery. Here I cover all types of topics pertaining to love including – self-love and self-care, relationships, tantra, intimacy, sex, all the way to Christ consciousness, and Pachamama… to name a few broad topics.

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
I have to say that I feel grateful to be living in the world today. Sure we face challenges but we also have many opportunities that weren’t available to the generations of women that came before us. I feel that there is a shift in the world as well, even though it might take some time to really see the benefits of it. More and more I see my type of work being offered in cooperations who are seeing the benefits of the feminine energy and honoring of the cycles. Some are realizing that by honoring and following these cycles that their business can actually multiply given some time. This is a huge shift! Little by little, it is happening. The good part is that we are at the forefront of making this change and, for me, that begins with awareness – self-awareness first. I think that a woman can do anything that she puts her heart in to. I say ‘heart’ because it is really the heart that needs to be connected to work in order to give our best, with passion.
